Sime Darby employees get modern estate

More than 500 employees at Sime Darby Plantation Liberia (SDPL) are currently moving into the company’s newly completed modern housing complex, in Grand Cape Mount County.

Head of Media and Communication, David Kolleh, said the initiative is geared towards closing down most of the old camps within its current operation area which have already outlived their usefulness.

LACC clarifies, but...

The Liberia Anti Corruption Commission or LACC says it has not conducted an audit of how the Ebola money was spent here but rather it did an assessment of the systems and procedures used in the handling of Ebola resources by government ministries and agencies.

"This exercise is not an audit," LACC Commissioner for Education, Aba Dolo told the New Dawn Managing Editor via mobile phone and later by emails.

Crusaders take anti-stigmatization campaign to Nimba

The Liberia Crusaders for Peace Without Borders has launched a campaign against stigmatization of Ebola victims or survivors in Small Ganta Community, Nimba County.

Speaking during the formal launch, Cultural Ambassador Madam Juli Endee, said,  Small Ganta is among several communities in Nimba County and Liberia at large that were badly affected by the Ebola Virus outbreak.
