Botswana’s President to Visit Liberia

Botswana’s President to Visit Liberia

Botswana’s President Lieutenant General Seretse Ian Khama, is expected here today ahead of a two-day “working stop over visit” to Liberia as guest of President  Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the Foreign Ministry has announced.

The ministry said Pesident Seretse Khama and his entourage will arrive at the Roberts International Airport at 3:20 p.m. today and will be met on arrival by Madam Johnson Sirleaf. He will have a private audience with Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at her Foreign Ministry Office later in the evening.

Following his private meeting, President Johnson Sirleaf will tender a State Dinner in his honor at a local hotel. He departs Monrovia early on Thursday, August 18th, 2011 for Gaborone, Botswana.

Accompanying President Seretse Ian Khama on his two-day working stop over visit to Liberia are the Minister for Presidential Affairs, Honorable Mokgweetsi Eric Masisi and Botswana’s Ambassador to Liberia, His Excellency Clifford S. Maribe.

Also on hand for the visit is Liberia’s Ambassador to South Africa, Her Excellency Mrs. Lois Lewis Brutus, who has concurrent accreditation to Botswana.
