PYJ, Jr. Commits Suicide
Tragedy has hit the family of Nimba County Senior Senator Prince Yormie Johnson, with the eldest son of the NUDP political leader reportedly committing suicide. Prince Johnson, Jr. is said to have taken his own life last Thursday night.
Sources at the Paynesville Police depot Thursday said, Johnson Jr. went out with some friends to an unknown destiny and upon return at mid night, entered his bedroom, but never came outdoor until his lifeless body was discovered hanging in the room with a written note left behind, pleading “Father, please take care of my son.”
Prior to taking his life, Prince Johnson, Jr. had been in a serious confusion with a colleague identified as Peterson Juah over a girl identified as Edwina. It is reported that Edwina was earlier in relationship with the late Johnson, Jr., but left him due to his alleged ‘criminal activities.’
On Thursday night, while visiting a local entertainment center in Paynesville, Johnson, Jr. met Edwina and Juah having fine time. However, it is not cleared whether he decided to take his life because of the broken relationship.
Meanwhile, another account says that Johnson, Jr. and his mother identified as Mary Walkia had been in protracted confusion, which led Senator Johnson to relocate his son to his Monrovia City Hall residence to avoid further confusion with his mother.
Later, Johnson Jr. reportedly rented the room to a friend and moved to his ELWA residence. Prior to that, he reportedly had heated arguments with his mother, which enraged her to the extent that she undressed herself before her son and other bystanders and swore that nothing good will come out of him, and he will remain a criminal for the rest of his life.
Family sources hinted that during his entire life, he refused to acquire an education or vocational training. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into circumstances that might have allegedly led Prince Johnson, Jr. to commit suicide.
