Catholic Archbishop emeritus, His Grace Michael Kpakala Francis, is dead. He died at age 77 in Monrovia on Sunday following a protracted illness.

The Open Budget Initiatives (OBI) launched by the Ministry of Finance is being taken to rural Liberia to educate citizens on government’s financial programs. The Open Budget Initiative, launched by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf early this year, is intended to explain to average Liberians the expenditure of the national budget.

The United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) has dedicated a youth center in Brewerville City, Montserrado County valued US$30,000. The center is intended for youths in the area to have access to skills training and other educative programs.

Postmaster General Calls For Robust ICT Sector

Posts and Telecommunications Minister Dr. Frederick Norkeh, has stressed the need for  every Liberian to pay a role in ensuring that the use of Information Communication Technology or ICT does not endanger road safety. He called on policymakers to ensure that Information Communication Technology facilitates the realization of Liberia’s goal instead of undermining it.
