A 36 - year - old man Adolphus Domo in Panta District, Bong County has allegedly committed suicide over what is believed to be the alleged refusal of his wife Annie Kerkulah to sexually satisfy him.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke in an interview with our Bong County Correspondent on Tuesday, 20 February, victim Domo and his wife Annie had always had confusion about sex. Witnesses say many of these cases led Domo to beating on his wife seriously prior to allegedly taking his own life.
They recall that in January this year, Domo allegedly beat on Annie and caused her to leave his house to rest at her parents’ place. They narrate that after Annie left Kerkulah’s house, he became traumatized about the situation and had usually threatened to do something to himself.
“I met him yesterday, and he told me that he was not going on the farm, but I was surprised this morning when we saw his body in his room hanging with rope on his neck,” James Togba, a friend of victim Domo says.
“Since his wife left, he really used to be thinking that his wife was having affairs with another person at her parents’ place,” he continues. The situation which took place in Melequa, brought sorrow on the faces of many residents, especially when they were denied to do their normal activities just to face jurors’ investigation.
According to the report of the 15 man -jury, there was no foul play, reaching a conclusion that the victim, Domo hung himself. Since the incident, Annie Kerkulah has gone unconscious and was unable to explain her side of the story to Newsmen.
