The 2017/18 Liberia National County Meet is expected to commence on 31 March across the Country. According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports the County Meet will be played under the theme “Uniting Liberia After the Elections.”
The Ministry says the County Meet will be divided into four groups including Greenville, Buchanan, Robertsport and Gbarnga. It says Bong, Lofa, Nimba and Grand Gedeh are placed in group one, and Grand Bassa, Rivercess, Montserrado and Margibi are placed in group two.
In group three are Grand Cape Mount, Gbarpolu and Bomi while in group four are Sinoe, Grand Kru, Maryland and River Gee Counties. In the preliminary games, Bong will face Lofa in kickball on day one in Gbarnga at 11:00am while at 2:00 pm, the two counties will face each other in football.
On that same day, Nimba will meet Grand Gedeh at 12:00pm in kickball and meet at 4pm for football. In Buchanan, Grand Bassa is due to meet Rivercess in football at 2pm, while Montserrado and Margibi will close the day with Kickball at 12pm and football at 4pm.
In Robertsport, Cape Mount will face Gbarpolu at 2pm in kickball and meet for football at 4pm, while in Greenville, Sinoe will meet Grand Kru at 11am for kickball and meet later at 2pm for football.
Maryland will meet River Gee at 12pm for kickball and 4pm for football. On 3 April in Gbarnga, Lofa faces Nimba in kickball and football, Grand Gedeh in kick ball and football.
