Lonestar Cell MTN Honors Employees
Liberia’s premier GSM Company Lonestar Cell MTN has honored over 100 of its SIM Cards and Mobile Money registration agents otherwise known as foot soldiers for their dedicated services, which enable the entity to reach its peak in the SIM Card registration process. The par-time workers were certificated by the company as ambassadors of Lonestar Cell MTN for their hard work.
Speaking at the certification ceremony over the weekend, Lonestar Cell MTN Chief Executive Officer Tebogo Mogapi praised the ‘foot soldiers’ for their efforts in making the company reach its goal of SIMs and Mobile Money registrations. He encouraged them to continue their hard work for the company and demonstrate respect for their bosses and other staff.
CEO Mogapi described the SIM registration process as tedious, noting the foot soldiers did their best in the process. He said the process has also created jobs for Liberians and will continue to provide working opportunities in the absence of the SIM registration. He expressed the company’s commitment in working with the Government of Liberia in creating jobs for Liberians.
Speaking earlier, the Cooperate Communication Manager Dr. Laurence Bropleh said Lonestar Cell is committed in implementing mandate of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, which calls for private sector to create jobs for Liberians.
Dr. Bropleh said he is proud to see hundreds of Liberians honored for a job well done in rendering services to the people of Liberia. “This is how it should be, to see Liberians making contribution to their nation through a reputable company like Lonestar Cell,” Dr. Bropleh added.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, one of the honorees Darlingboy Diggs praised Lonestar Cell MTN for creating job opportunities for them. He said many of them were jobless and out of school, but their standard of life has improved since the received the opportunity from the company to execute its SIM Cards and Mobile Money registration.
Speaking to this paper after the program, some of the honorees, Freeman Koon and Amose Obutu described the company as the best in the nation’s telecommunication industry.
The honorees also certificated some employees of the company for their outstanding performance and cooperation with the ‘foot soldiers’ during the operation. They also honored Mobile Money Manager Samelia Dempster, Paulette Finley and Marketing Officer Thomas Finley, among others.
Meanwhile, Lonestar Cell MTN on Sunday identified with the Muslims Community of Liberia in the celebration of the holy month of Ramandam. Employees of Lonestar were seen under heavy downpour, sharing water and juices among Muslim brothers and sisters.
Some mosques that benefited from the Lonestar Cell’s gesture include the Mechline Street Mosque; 17th Street and Fish Market mosques, among others. The company commended Muslims in Liberia for their commitment in praying for the nation, particularly during the month-long fast and prayer.
