The Government of the People’s Republic of China has expressed interest in exploiting the Wologisi Mountain in Lofa County, northwestern Liberia, amidst reports here that an Indian company O.P. Jindal Group has similar interest.

Residents of the Gibi District in Margibi County are calling on the Government of Liberia, through the Ministries of Education and Internal Affairs, to aid them in over-coming traditional practices against formal education. Residents of Gibi District, which has over 10,000 residents, complained that during the regular instructional period, there are disruptions by country (traditional) devils.

The Ngwayah’s family in Suakoko District, Bong County has announced the construction of a modern clinic in the town of Gbornokalansue.

The Land Commission has launched its Urban Land Inventory Project in Gbarnga, Bong County. The Project is intended to map up the city for proper records of the population, as well as the number of houses, among others.
