16 month-old Augustine goes missing

A 16 months old baby boy, Augustine Chris Swarry, is reported missing in the Hotel Africa community. Little Chris as he was commonly known in his community, reportedly went missing Wednesday morning March 25, 2015.

According to the mother of the missing toddler Ms. Agna Wolo, on Wednesday morning her son went to play with her next door neighbor’s daughter and around 8 to 9 a.m. she called him to come home to bath.

Ms. Wolo continued that when the boy came to bath, she left him outside and went in the house to get his clothes, but upon return she did not see him.

The grieving mother said she then decided to ask a neighbor sitting in the yard identified as Maima whether she saw her son around there, but Maima said she should go and check across the road and told the boy’s father to go and check inside the house, but the couple did not see the baby.

Narrating further, Agna told this paper when they returned from searching for little Augustine, the neighbor Maima told them she called her prayer mother, who told her the couple  should not worry as the child is in good hands.

According to Maima, the prayer mother claimed the unknown person, who took the boy is taking good care of him, and will report the  child to the police subsequently so they shouldn’t worry.

Agna said the situation has been reported to the Banjor Police Station on Bushrod Island.
