175 benefit eyes treatment in Nimba

The New Sight Eye Center based in Monrovia has treated 175 patients in Nimba County. The head of delegation Robert Dolo told The NewDawn Nimba correspondent that they were approached by the administration of the Ganta Rehab Center to treat patients at the center with eyes problem.

He said other residents also benefited from the exercise.

Mr.  Dolo said 150 patients were treated while 25 went under eyes surgery.

He added that outpatients were required to pay a minimum fee of US$50.00 rather than $250, which is the fee for eyes surgery.

The New sight Eye Center manager disclosed that lot of people in the county have eyes problem and the Center is considering plan to pay another visit there to offer free surgery to help in addressing those problems. 

For her part, a Ghanaian Eye Doctor, Catherine S. Grace, urged Nimbaians to take advantage of the free surgery, which according to her, will help to reduce the huge eyes problem. 

Doctor Grace noted that during the visit, it was observed that more residents have sight problem in the county and they need to come for surgery.
