A terrible motor accident near ex-president Charles Ghankay Taylor’s farm in Bong County has left at least two persons dead instantly, and two others seriously injured. Bong County police chief of traffic Augustine Kanneh said, the driver of the vehicle involved in accident lost control and somersaulted several times.
Traffic chief Kanneh said several empty Stout and Club Beer bottles were found inside the vehicle, but couldn’t say whether or not, the occupants were intoxicated. Among the victims was a young lecturer of the Cuttington University, who reportedly just returned from abroad after earning his Master’s.
The accident, which occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 7 December, is being attributed to excessive speed. Meanwhile, the victims have been taken to the Phebe Hospital in Suakoko outside Gbarnga.
