2 Nabbed by DEA in Bong

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has sent two persons to court following their arrest for over fifty kilogram of marijuana.

Nora Dahn and James Cooper- arrested early this month, told the New Dawn Correspondent in Bong County that they committed the crime and pleaded for forgiveness.

According to the suspects- both from Nimba County, they were in the business to help their families.

DEA Bong County Commander Col. Darius Paye put the combined costs of the marijuana at over five hundred thousand Liberian Dollars.

Col. Paye indicated that the DEA in Bong County needed to be adequately empowered to execute its mandate, expressing the belief that if  empowered, the DEA Bong County office would very vigilant and timely in pursuit of sources of marijuana.

Col. Paye also expressed the hope that motorcycles and vehicles will help to ease the transportation difficulties faced by personnel of the agency in the county, assuring that during the New Year, he and officers will be more robust.
