28-year-old murder suspect arrested in Bong

A 28-year-old murder suspect James Tamba has been arrested in Bellefina, Bong County. Suspect Tamba, who allegedly murdered one Joe Flomo, is currently in police custody, pending investigating.

According to police investigators, Tamba planted rubber trees on a piece of land that doesn’t belong to him, and so the late Joe Flomo asked him to remove the crops because the piece of land is where his late wife was buried.

But suspect Tamba is said to have argued seriously with the victim, refusing to remove or uproot his rubber trees, something that led both men into a fight. According to the police, James slapped the late Flomo several times and even step in his stomach, causing him to defecate on himself, while vomiting with blood, leading to his sudden death.

Tamba, who was held in Bellefina, reportedly broke jail, but was re-arrested by the police through the collective effort of community residents. He has been brought to Gbarnga and held at the police station.

He told the police the act was not done intentionally, adding that he did not step into the victim’s stomach, but it was just a bad day for him.  “I never meant to do what took place between Joe Flomo and me,”Tamba lamented.
