
The University of Liberia releases entrance results here, with 2,807 candidates making a successful pass.

Monrovia, Liberia; August 19, 2025 – The University of Liberia through its Center for Testing and Evaluation (CTE) has officially released results for the July 12, 2025, entrance examination for 2025, with a disheartening Passed of 2,807, constituting 28.32% and a failure of 9,299 or 74.30%, from a total registered 13,130 candidates.
Releasing the results on Monday, August 18, 2025, University of Liberia 16th President, Dr. Layli Maparyan, said the University of Liberia is pleased to announce results of the July 12, 2025, entrance examination for the academic year 2025.
According to her, this year, they witnessed an impressive increase in applications, reflecting the dynamic growth and reputation of the institution, congratulating all applicants for their hard work and commitment, and welcoming the new cohort of students who will be joining the vibrant university community.
Dr. Maparyan stated that these results are a reflection of both the Computer-Based Entrance Examination and the Paper-based Examination that were administered by the Center for Testing and Evaluation (CTE) from July 1, 2025, to July 5, 2025, respectively.
She detailed that the Center for Testing and Evaluation administered the examinations at designated centers in Montserrado County, and the David Stratz-Sinje Technical and Vocational College in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County.
“Undergraduate Colleges: Total registered: 13,130 candidates. Total absent: 614 or 4.68% candidates. Total turned out: 12,516 candidates, or 95.32%. Total passed: 2,807 or 28.32% candidates. Total failed: 9,299 or 74.30% candidates. Total disqualified/Incorrect Shading of Number: 410 or 3.28% candidates”, she read.
Commenting on categorization by gender, she disclosed that successful female candidates who passed are 1,415 or 50.41%, while successful male candidates are 1,392 or 49.59%.
“At Straz-Sinje: Total registered: 221 candidates. Total Absent: 33 candidates, or 14.93 %. Total turned out: 188 candidates, or 85.07% Total passed: 25 candidates, or 13.30%. Total failed: 85 candidates, or 45.21% Total remedial: 74 candidates. Total disqualified/Incorrect Shading of Number: 4 candidates, or 2.13%. The University of Liberia, through its Center for Testing and Evaluation, routinely conducts entrance examinations and aptitude assessments as part of the admission process for its undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools”, Dr. Maparyan concluded.
