3 petroleum stations supply gas to Guinea

A New Dawn’s investigation has gathered that three local filling stations in Ganta, Nimba County are actively selling gas to business people from Guinea. Some of the petroleum stations engaged in this act are Aminata Gas Station, God Willing, and Ma.Queen Ad.

Guinean trucks and other vehicles are crossing into Liberia thru the Ganta border in Nimba to smuggle gas, while other business centers on the Liberian side of the border also supply rice and cement in clear violation of Liberian commerce law, which bars these commodities from leaving the country.

On a daily basis about not less than eight drums of gas leave from Ganta into Guinea. When contacted, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry head in Nimba, Mr.GonleeMambia declined to speak on the situation, but told this paper to go ahead and report.
