710 grams of Drugs Confiscated

Liberian Police officers in Monrovia confiscated 710 grams white and brownish substance suspected to be heroin (drugs) from two Nigerians on Thursday morning.

Police spokesman George Bardue said suspects Henry Iteany Paul (43) and Akajiofor Izuchukwu (33) were arrested in the Soul Clinic Community area in connection with the alleged ‘white and brownish powder.

He put the drugs’ value at L$923,000.00, or US$13,183.00. “The substances were discovered in the ceiling of the two individuals yesterday.

Police said they seized the drugs from the ceiling through searching the home of the suspects, after they were caught in the Soul Clinic Community.

Mr. Bardue, however, said the suspected drugs dealers are under police custody for investigation.

The Police had earlier this month arrested another Nigerian with huge substances believed to be drugs.

They claimed to have wondered over the alleged reappearance of the suspect, (Iyke) after they reportedly arrested and send him to court in 2010 in Monrovia.
