80 years old man dies in fire

A man believed to be in his 80s has reportedly died in a mysterious fire incident in Nimba County.

Family members of the late Amose Benbiah narrated to The NewDawn correspondent in the county that the victim had gone into the bush to tap palm wine when he allegedly set himself ablaze. The incident recently occurred in Lessonson Dohn.

The late Amose Benbiah was a resident of Lessonson Dohn, electoral district#8. He was Chief Zoe of the traditional Poro society, a bush school that teaches traditional values.

The deceased, who tapped palm wine for sale to upkeep his family, was a father of six.

His death in a mysterious fire has created panic among citizens of Dohn.

Recently, fire gutted two houses in Saclepea, Central Nimba County, destroying several properties. The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
