Looking ahead to the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for October this year, the political leader for the Movement of One Liberia (MOL) – MacDella Cooper has declared her party’s readiness to unseat President Weah.
Madam Cooper in a statement over the week said her party is a major force in the upcoming election and that they are prepared to remove what she described as an incompetent regime.
She alluded to putting the right administration that will deliver Liberians from the massive suffering they undergo daily.
“The movement of One Liberia is going to be a force in this election, and we are serious about removing this incompetence administration to put the right people who can free the country from massive suffering people face daily due to President Weah’s ignorance,” she said.
Ultimately, she is the only female presidential candidate running for the nation’s highest office. She was the only youngest female presidential candidate in the 2017 presidential elections.
Madam Cooper expressed optimism about her campaign’s chances and named steps the party will take to ensure a successful election.
MOL has divided the country into five regions: “We got our regional health team in the Five regions with 15 County and District representatives.” she said.
Despite this confidence, the leader has acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead, including the need for support from other political parties to ensure a peaceful and fair election process looking concisely at violence against women.
