Liberia’s Kpah Sherman on Fire in Cyprus

Despite his recent exclusion from the senior national team of Liberia, The Lone Star, Kpah Sean Sherman is said to be making a big name for himself in Northern Cyprus with Cetinkaya TSK outfit, who is currently sitting on top of the table with 5 points lead in the Northern Cyprus Premier League, ahead of 10 more games to end the season.

Striker Sherman, who plays in the Cyprian top flight, netted 3 goals in three matches and gave two assists Friday night when his Cetinkaya TSK side whipped Cihangir at home 4-2 in a classical encounter. Because of his performance, the Liberian astounding attacker is the 7th highest goal scorer with 8 goals this season.

The striker has since been in top form since his return from Liberia where he came on holidays, netting 1 goal in the first game of the second phase when he returned from Africa and two in the second game.

Speaking to this paper via mobile phone from his residence in Northern Cyprus, Sherman said, “It’s good and I’m happy here in top form and helping my team to win games from the left Wing and sometimes second striker, he added.

Sherman, who played for the National team of Liberia, The Lone Star was an upstanding player in the 2010/2011 Cellcom National Premier League with Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) before going on loan with Duzkaya SK in Cyprus.

Counting down on the player’s numerous achievements while in Liberia, he helped River Cess County to two successful finals in the National County Sports Meet, winning one and losing one.

He also played for former Premiership champion, now newly relegated side, Mighty Barrollee, before moving back to lower division to play for the team of his father, Aries FC.
