Monrovia, Liberia; August 19, 2025 – Montserrado County electoral district#9 Representative, Frank Saah Foko, has termed recent allegation by Senator Saah Joseph against CDC political leader, George Weah, very disrespectful.

“Look, let me tell you something; Saah Joseph was very disrespectful to George M Weah and the ordinary Cdicians who made a lot of sacrifices for him to become somebody”, he said.

Representative Foko made these comments when he appeared on a local talk show on Monday, August 18, 2025.

Recently, Senator Joseph, who resigned from the CDC, made series of accusations against the party’s standard bearer and some top officials.

The Montserrado County Senator, who let the cat out of the bag, had accused ex-president George Weah of withholding speech from him for about four years despite all contributions he made to the CDC, and his position he occupied at the Liberian Senate, an attitude that shocked him and got him speechless for a long period.

The ex-CDC senator, in his outburst, alleged that CDC officials, including party executives, masterminded an attempt on his life by setting his home ablaze in the middle of the night, while he and his family were inside.

He revealed that the motivation for this alleged arson was the fact that he received more votes than President Weah in Montserrado County, a feat that, in his own words, was not a deliberate attempt to overshadow the President but a result of his extensive campaigning and the will of the Liberian people.

However, responding to the ex-CDC senator, Rep. Foko said it was time for the party to reintroduce an Assets Recovery team to recover party assets from the senator.

“Look, Saah Joseph didn’t make the CDC; in fact, no person can make a political party; instead, it’s the party that makes people, so I think the best thing the CDC can do now is for the assets recovery team to engage Mr. Joseph and retrieve all of our belongings.”

He noted that Sen. Joseph held series of positions in the party before his exit, recounting that he served as head of Montserrado, and has in his possession properties that belong to the party.

“There is absolutely no way Saah will say CDC didn’t give him all the wealth he has today; I challenge him to say it. I, Representative Frank Saah Foko is challenging Saah Joseph to repeat exactly what he said about George M. Weah. I tell you for free, he’s regretting his actions”, Representative Foko added.
