AFL Reconditions 2 Bridges in Bassa

The Engineering Battalion of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) has completed the rehabilitation of two bridges in District Number One, Grand Bassa County. Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency via telephone on Tuesday, Dia–Blae Statutory District Superintendent, Samuel Karmenjay, said work on the bridges was completed last Monday.

Superintendent Karmenjay said the two bridge link Little Bassa to the City of Edina. He said the repaired bridges will alleviate the transportation problem that business people and farmers in the area experienced during the period the bridges were in a deplorable state.

Meanwhile, he has thanked AFL authorities, the officers and men of the Engineering Battalion for the initiative, which he termed as “a blessing to the people of Grand Bassa County.” He urged the people of District Number One to embrace the project as their own.
