Africa World Airline conducts forum for partners

A leading regional airline, Africa World Airline, has conducted a one-day forum in Monrovia, for its partners in the travel agency industry.

Commercial Manager Mr.  Adedayo Olawuyi, told journalists Wednesday, February 23, 2022, that the forum is important to hear key problems of partners, including travel agency owners, and operators in order to help seek ways to work closely with them for the betterment of their customers.

He says they are also here to sensitize the market, get the feel and have an opportunity to take feedback to its headquarters in Accra, Ghana on how to further improve services to the public.

The airline used to fly five times weekly, but due to the Covid pandemic, it has reduced its flight to three times weekly.   However, there are plans to reverse to the five times weekly scheduled late this year.

Commercial Manager Olawuyi notes that Liberia has great potential, which is the reason they decided to operate here.

He says despite the COVID pandemic, AWA has its presence in the country and flies a-three-time weekly flights.

According to him, Liberia remains a vital place for them in West Africa. “We see the country becoming an economic hub one day. Many people are doing business here and it means a lot,” he adds.

Mr. Alawuyi: “Despite the COVD pandemic, we remain a strong partner and a strong player and will continue to take people to their destination.”

He reveals they intend to increase weekly flight schedule to five, from the current three times weekly services.

He says AWA will celebrate its tenth anniversary in September, noting “We remain a strong layer in West Africa.  We Want to ensure to live to the vision and mission of the company”.

AWA, he says, has an excellent relationship with other international carriers to take its passengers to their final destinations, which makes its services unique followed by the quality of excellent services it provides to its passengers. AWA is known for its level of punctuality, which other airlines do not meet.

Africa World Airlines Limited (AWA) is a Ghanaian airline company that was incorporated in 2010 and commenced flights in 2012. It has its head office in Airport City Accra and its main hub at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, respectively.

It is the largest airline in Ghana with over 600,000 passengers transported in 2019, accounting for 68 percent of domestic passengers and 20 percent of all air passengers in the country. The airline has been consistently profitable since 2014.
