Alphorn Armah U-15 Tournament Kick off soon


A four -day tournament organized in honor Liberia Football Association (LFA’s) late Secretary General Mr. Alphorn Armah will kick off soon in Monrovia.


According to the organizer of the tournament, they are honoring the late Secretary General Alphorn Armah for his work at the LFA house, adding that the tournament will kick off on 29 December at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

According to Coach Emmanuel G. Kaykay, the tournament is expected to bring together eight under 15 Soccer teams from Monrovia, Gbarnga, Grand Cape Mount County and Herbal, Margibi County.

According to Coach Kaykay, the eight team are Paynesville Young Controller-Paynesville City; Bassa Community FC from Monrovia; Discoveries-Gardnerville from Monrovia; National Youth Sports Academy of Liberia, Monrovia; Zodiac Stars from Harbel, Margibi County ,CECE United from Monrovia, Cape Mount U-15 – Robert sports, Grand Cape Mount County and Kasumu Sillah Foundation Youth Academy-Gbarnga City, Bong County.

The honoring will be graced by serious high profile Scouts from European power guns that include Paris Saint German (PSG) Montpellier and Westham United, among others.

According to the sponsor, 24 promising young talents will be selected to participate in a European Clubs Tour 2018 that will spotlight their talent for a further greener pasture adventure.

Meanwhile, the all important Alphorn Armah Super Cup is expected to be televising by the Intel TV.net who is the prime sponsor of the tournament. Speaking to the founder of the Paynesville Young Star Football Club Mr. Able Thomas, he says it is an honor for his team to pay their respect to someone who gives his team to football in Liberia.

He says his team is set for tournament because for some time now in Liberia, the grass root football has been down and it is now time to work on it in other to help build a good team.According to him, honoring a great man like that shows how much he worked with love and his team is going for nothing then winning the tournament.
