Who gives ex-CDC man arms?

George Solo NDSeveral arms and ammunition have been discovered in the home of the former chairman of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change or CDC George Solo.

The discovery was made by the Liberia National Police early Friday morning, with a search warrant issued by the Paynesville City Magistrate Court. According to Police Spokesman Sam Collins, it all started when a Liberian filed a complaint to the LNP against George Solo, for threatening lives on many occasions.

Items found in Solo’s house includes two pistols and rounds, two petrol bombs, two single barred rounds, as well as two cutlasses, among others. Collins also indicated that the Liberian whose identity he refused to make available, displayed text massages which the Police verified established to be true.

Sam Collins further said that upon verifying the threatening text messages, Mr. Solo was invited by the LNP for questioning, but refused, following which the Police prayed the Paynesville City Magistrate Court for a search warrant.

Solo, according to the Police spokesman, was not home during the search, but three persons were arrested and are now undergoing police investigation.-Edited by George Barpeen
