Montserrado County Electoral District #4 representative aspirant Mr. Ceebee Barshell has offered 21 lots of land to 21 instructional staff of the David E. Barshell Senior High School in Paynesville, outside Monrovia for their contribution to the development of the country’s education system.
The land was officially presented to the deserving teachers recently at a program marking the 10th graduation and closing exercise of the Royal Kids Preparatory School situated in the Parker Paint Community in Paynesville.
Making the presentation, Mr. Barshell said the land was the institution’s own way of appreciating the long term instructional and professional services that the teachers have provided the educational system of Liberia especially to dozens of students of the institution.
He adds that the presentation of the land to the teachers sends a clearer signal to other politicians of his ability to provide better development agenda for the generation to come.
Aspirant Barshell who is widely considered as one of the most formidable aspirants within the district has further emphasized that he would continue to contribute meaningfully to the human resource development of Liberia through the provision of sound education to Liberians.
Earlier, Deputy Education Minister for Instructions Dr. Romelle A. Horton who served as guest speaker at the 10th graduation of the school challenged parents of the graduates not to be complacent in investing in the human resource development of the country.
She said she was very impressed to see the graduates and their parents walking side by side, which according to her shows unity and oneness in students and parents relationship.
Dr. Horton then challenged the graduates to seek higher education as a means of ascending to positions of trust in the society and the world at large.
