Aspirant stresses honesty in leadership


A Bong County District #3 Representative aspirant has named honesty as an essential tool in the provision of good leadership. According to Madam Hawa Norris, Liberians continue to suffer as a result of serious dishonesty that leaders of the country continue to exhibit.


Madam Norris who works in Vice President Joseph Boakai office added that dishonesty in leadership has led to huge corruption, subjecting the masses to hardship. She added that a good leader couple with honesty must be able to identify problems affecting those he or she is leading and find solutions to the problems.

According to the District #3 aspirant, a leader who does not have the fear of God is bind to be corrupt. She said a leader who fears God will always be careful of issues that tend to undermine his or her credibility.

Madam HawaNorris who was speaking over the weekend when she served as keynote speaker at the student council induction program of the William V.S Tubman Gray High School in Gbarnga, also maintained that it is essential for those in leadership to be ready to serve and stressed the need to always be available.
