Bahá’í Faith to host national spiritual assembly here

The National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Liberia has announced the holding of a national spiritual assembly aimed at spreading the teaching of Baha’u’llah across the country.


The Bahá’í Faith is the world’s fastest growing religion established in every country and territory across the globe with closed to 7 million believers. It is an independent world religion that teaches the oneness of God, the oneness of religion and the oneness of mankind.

Its founder, Baha’u’llah (The Glory of God), was born in Persia; modern day Iran in 1817 and declared himself to the world in 1863 as the promised manifestation for all religions and peoples of the earth.
Here in Liberia, the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is was established since 1975. According to a press release issued in Monrovia on Monday, September 18, 2017 by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Liberia, the ensuing spiritual assembly will be hosted at the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Monrovia on October 21.

The release notes that the national spiritual event is in commemoration of the Birth of Baha’u’llah and will also be attended by members from Cameroon and Ghana. The release furthers that prior to the national assembly on October 21; there will be series of activities in the 17 local assemblies in Liberia.

“We are also calling on all local Spiritual Assemblies across the country, Bahai families and isolated friends to begin planning for their respective event between now and 22 October 2017.

Local assemblies and individual Bahais are encouraged to invite local authorities, opinion leaders, religious leaders, town chiefs, community chairman and school administrators in their communities,
friends, relatives, and acquaintances to these historic events,” the release says.

“The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahais of Liberia through this press release, is informing all Local Spiritual Assemblies, all the Bahais in Liberia, friends of the Bahai Faith and the public that these historic celebrations marking the 200th birth anniversary of Bahaullah, founder of the Bahai Faith, will be climaxed by the national official program at the Boulevard Palace Hotel on the 21st of October 2017,” the press release says.–Press release
