Bajaj thief arrested in Logan Town

The Criminal Investigation Unit or CIU of the Logan Town police depot has arrested a 40-year-old suspect Morris Sekou for allegedly stealing a Bajaj taxi, a tricycle bike used in most African countries and other parts of the world, mostly Asia for public transport.

This paper gathers that Sekou stole the Bajaj that belongs to one of his close associates Mohammed Bah at a local entertainment center in Monrovia.

One witness narrate that a female friend of Mohammed spotted suspect Sekou with the tricycle transporting passengers.

But suspect Sekou escaped with the Bajaj and hid it at the home of a colleague in Sinkor, Monrovia.
However, one CIU source disclosed that the hidden Bajaj was on Wednesday, 29 August retrieved from Sekou’s friend home in Sinkor.

Both Sekou and the unidentified friend are being held by the police, pending further investigation.
Motorbikes and vehicles theft in Monrovia and its environs is a common practice. Meanwhile, the owner of the retrieved Bajaj Mr. Bah says he is grateful to friends who assisted in retrieving his property.
