The national united bakers and allied workers union of Liberia in collaboration with the Liberia bakers general trading corporation has donated assorted items to the people of West Point Township. Liberia bakers depute secretary, Joseph Jallah, told this paper on Thursday, 28 August in the township that it is their own way of identifying with their members.
Mr. Jallah said they donation include, rice, salt, and chicken soup, among others. The government recently quarantined their entire community as part of many measures to halt the spread of the Ebola.
Speaking on behalf of bakers of West Point, Ma Alice Doe, thanked the bakers union for coming to their aid, saying they were very grateful for the gesture. She called on the government to lift the quarantine imposed on the township to enable people to move in and out.
