Bethel Church presents L$100, 000 to fire victims’ families

The Bethel World Outreach Ministries International situated in Oldest Congo Town recently presented a check of L$100,000 to families of victims killed in a fire disaster last month at an Islamic School in Paynesville.

The check was presented at the 9th Street Mosque by Bishop Dr. M. Wolo Belleh on behalf of His Emirate Presiding Bishop Dr. Darlington G. Johnson including other officials of the Ministries in Liberia, Guinea, and Guinea Bissau, respectively.

In a statement of sympathy and condolence to the bereaved families signed by the church at the 9th Street Mosque in Sinkor, the Church humbly expressed deepest condolences to the parents of the 28 victims, mostly students who lost their lives in the fire disaster.
The Church’s statement also expressed deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and the Muslim Community in general for the lost of the victims.

According to the Church, it hopes and prays that the Lord will heal the wound and comfort the bereaved families as they go through the period of bereavement during these difficult times.
The Church discloses that the death of the 28 victims poses serious challenges to the victims’ parents in particular and the Muslim Community in general at the time the country needs them so dearly.

Receiving the check, a representative of the Imam of the 9th Street Mosque expressed gratitude to the Bethel Church in Liberia for the concern shown at the time of the very unfortunate incident which is the first in the history of the country.
He called on others to emulate the good example of the Bethel Church in Liberia as their financial and material contribution would assist families of the students who died in the tragic fire incident.By Emmanuel Mondaye—Edited by Winston W. Parley
