Bility Elected WAFU VP

Liberia FA President Musa Bility has been named Vice President for WAFU Zone1, comprising nine countries. Bility was elected during a meeting of heads of member countries of the Zone in Accra, Ghana on Saturday. An FA release quoted Bility as describing his new assignment at WAFU as very significant.

WAFU and Bility had previously been at loggerheads over the latter pronouncement on the former support to Asian football president Mohammed bin Hammam. Bility’s claim was disproven by various clarifications from WAFU member countries, including Nigeria.

3 LISCR Players in Isreal

Three players of Liberia’s premiership champions LISCR FC who recently left for Israel are reported to have settled there for the coming season. The club’s top goal scorer Vatalis Sieh and defender Alvin Jackson have reportedly joined Hapoel Nazareth Illit of Ben Martin, another Liberian from LISCR FC.

Hapoel Nazareth Illit struggled through the Israeli national league with two Liberians, Amos Kollie and Ben Martin, who were instrumental in the club’s campaign to escaped relegation after losing nine points to the national league board.

Vatilie Sieh and defender Alvin Dixon were all in action for the club during their FA cup fixture with Hapoel Kfar Saba FC of defender George Baysah on their roster for this season and next season.

Stanley Whitfield, also transferred from Jubilee FC after the LISCR FC charity cup held in Monrovia nearly two months ago, has been penned by Hapoel Herzliya. Gizzie Dorbor is a player of Hapoel Herzliya. The deal struck between the two clubs concerning Stanley Whitfield was placed at Seven Hundred United States Dollars and 20% on any future deal.
