Rodgers returned to the Liberia less than two weeks ago and participated in the first ever international Marathon held here. The international tracker managed to subdue all local athletes who had trained for months to seal the title.

Bill said, “I stopped racing for the passed two years, but when I heard about the Marathon to be staged in Liberia, I reconsidered my decision and came for the race and today, I won the title”.

His new ambition is shifting towards the upcoming events at the London 2012 Olympic where the young athlete will be running for Liberia. “I am going to pay more attention to my training for the London 2012 Heats”, he said.
