Bomi: Insecurity Fear Grips Forkpa District

According to report from Bomi County, fear of insecurity has gripped the residents of Kumkpo Town in Mano River, Forkpa District. The report says that residents there have expressed serious fear for their lives in the wake of the influx of foreigners, who are trooping daily into the western region of the country.

The locals concern’s comes in the aftermath of the severe flogging of a police officer and the burning down of an immigration check-point in Forkpa District. These acts were allegedly attributed to foreigners.

The reports stated that that part of the country (Liberia) has 32 crossing points at the borders with Sierra Leone and Guinea, but these crossing points are porous.
