Bomi Unfinished Projects Trouble Chief Gray

The Clan Chief of Senjeh in Bomi County is appealing to government and non-governmental organizations operating in the county to help complete ongoing projects in Bomi. Chief Gbilley Gray said several projects started in the county two years ago are yet to be completed.

He said school projects undertaken by Plan Liberia International in Yomo , Sackie and Beasao towns, respectively are yet to be completed, thus hampering the children’s education. Chief Gray made the observation in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Bomi County.

The local chief, who is also Chairman of the Traditional Chiefs in Bomi County, further named other unfinished projects in Beafinie and Weakama, including a clinic at Gayah Hill. He also expressed concern about bad roads and the lack of safe-drinking water in the district as some of the major problems in the county.

He said due to the lack of public latrines in the area, residents in some towns and villages were now using surrounding bushes as latrines, while children were also using the back of houses to toilet.
