Bong Chief Wants Travellers Identifies

Bong County Jorquelleh District # 3 Commissioner Edward Yarkpawolo is recommending to the Government the provision of temporary identification Cards to travelers free of Ebola  to ease the difficulties they encounter while traveling from one location to another, especially in his district.

According to Commissioner Yarkpawolo, the arrival of travelers in towns and villages was creating serious embarrassment for chiefs and other authorities in the district.

Speaking to the New Dawn in his District Head Quarters in Wainsue, near the City of Gbarnga in Bong County, Commissioner Yarkpawolo  expressed the belief that  the temporary identification cards would also help ease the challenges faced by individuals traveling during this Ebola crisis.

The District #3 Commissioner noted that  the fight against Ebola can only be successful, when it is holistically done, void of politics. He added that two suspected Ebola cases in his district were reported to the County Health Team by his office, and subsequently transferred to the Phebe Hospital.

He appealed to Health Workers across the Bong County to reason well in the interest of their compatriots and return to work, noting that even common illnesses were also killing the ordinary citizens on a daily basis.
