Bong Citizens want Assistance

Citizens of Laryea Town in Bong County are calling on the leadership of the County to improve conditions in their town.

The citizens named the lack of toilet facilities, clinic and a school as some of the constraints  they face.

They told our Bong County correspondent recently, through the caretaker of the only hand pump in the community, Madam Aletha Morris that the people of the town continue to suffer due to the government’s inability to include them in its development programs, noting that the lack of these facilities in Laryea, sometimes last year, led to the death of a child in the area .She urged humanitarian groups in the County to relieve them from such problem by building some latrines in the town.

The Laryea citizens also called on the leadership of Bong County to construct an Elementary school in their area.

She said they usually transport sick people and pregnant women in hammocks to seek medical attention at the Gbonota Clinic due to bad road network.
