Bong clinic, others receive donations

The people of Wainsue in Jorquelleh District #1, Bong County are hailing Bong Senatorial Candidate Dr. Henrique Flomo Tokpa for the provision of plastic chairs to several institutions in the district.

The Cuttington University President, through the “Friends of Tokpa” recently made available the chairs to the Wainsue Clinic, Commissioner Office and Compound. The Chairman of the Intellectual Response Unit of the Friends of Tokpa said the donations were a result of requests from the town.

Making the presentation, Alieu Sackor expressed Dr. Tokpa’s willingness to assist all communities in the time of need, noting that the Bong County Senatorial Candidate has been in the vanguard of empowering Bongese through education,, promoting agriculture and providing employment opportunities.

According to Sackor, Tokpa’s continuous community engagements signify his commitment to the principles of empowering citizens to help themselves. He made specific reference to the Wainsue Clinic, owned by the people of the town, where mothers and other patients are seen sitting on the bare floor awaiting screening and treatment.

Taking delivery of the chairs, the District Commissioner of Jorquelleh District #1, Edward Yarkpawolo, Jorquelleh District Reproductive Health Supervisor, Barsie Zogbay. and Wainsue Clinic Officer-in-charge Emmanuel Miller,  hailed Dr. Tokpa for his timely intervention, especially in the wake of the failure of  others to assist the clinic. They said the donation came at a time when the clinic needed the chairs most.
