Bong County: GoL donates 2 vehicles to Phebe Hospital

The Government of Liberia has presented two Nissan pick-ups to the Phebe Hospital in Gbarnga, Bong County.
Bong, February 24, 2025/ Dr. Minnie Sankawulo Risks, Medical Director of Phebe, who received the donation, revealed that sixty thousand United States Dollars was allocated to the hospital through the government of Liberia in its fiscal year 2024 budget for the purchase of vehicles.
The Phebe Hospital Medical Director said the two vehicles will be used for utility and administrative purposes at the county hospital.
The Hospital Medical Director expressed deep appreciation for the donation, emphasizing its importance to the hospital’s ability to provide care to patients in need.
She assured the government that the vehicles would be used to transport staff at the Hospital.
Dr. Ricks also acknowledged the government’s contributions through budgetary allocation to the hospital in the county.
She lauded the government for always supporting the hospital in its mission to provide healthcare to the people of Bong County and beyond.
She made the statement on February 22, 2025, at the hospital compound in Suakoko District#5, Bong County.
For her part, the Minister of Health reiterated the Government’s determination to continue supporting health facilities and ensuring the availability of quality healthcare services for all Liberians.
The Phebe Hospital is a referral hospital that serves as a major healthcare center in Bong County.
It provides a wide range of medical services, including general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and internal medicine.
The addition of the two pick-ups will undoubtedly enhance the hospital’s ability to cater to the community’s healthcare needs. Edited by Othello B. Garblah.
