Bong County Teachers Warned

The President of the National Teacher Association of Liberia or NTAL- Bong chapter, has warned teachers of the association against committing the association to politicians.

Mr. James S.K. Miller said in the wake of  the ongoing electoral processes, it was important to have members of the NTAL alerted that any attempt to gain political relevance at the disadvantage of the association would be a clear violation of the association’s constitution.

Mr. Miller, also the newly appointed principal of the Suakoko Central High School,  urged teachers to be civil in this electoral period, even though the Supreme Court of Liberia has placed an injunction on the conduct of the election.

The NTAL Bong president comments are against the backdrop of recent political declarations by some teachers in Suakoko District, pledging their support to one of the senatorial candidates of Bong County.
