Bong District Assures Logging Company

Officials of Kpaai District in Bong County have Assured the Alpha Logging Company of their cooperation in ensuring the rehabilitation of that the Palala-Zoweinta Road project in Bong County.

Eli Gotogan, District Development Chairman and John Walker, Paramount Chief, expressed total appreciation for the presence of the company’s earth-moving equipment already mobilized in Palala, Bong County to begin the rehabilitation of the Palala-Zowentia road. The road has been in a very deplorable condition for several months.

The officials strongly expressed the conviction that when the 30-mile road is rehabilitated, it would create easy access for citizens who usually commute between Zoweinta and other parts of the country.

Paramount Chief Walker and Development Chairman Gotogan committed themselves to doing everything possible to ensure hospitality for the contractors as they work on the road.

Speaking to reporters, the District Representative John Tokpa Mulbah repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction about the Palala-Zoweinta road, urging Kpaai District citizens to put aside their differences and work together for the common good of the District.

Rep. Mulbah expressed his preparedness at all times to do everything humanly possible for the completion of the road in adherence to his part of the agreement.

According to the agreement, the Alpha Logging Company is responsible to service the machines in case of any default, while the office of the District Representative is to regularly fuel the machines.

Rep. Mulbah noted that as a servant of his people, he was prepared to meet his share of the agreement. When the road is rehabilitated, it will create relief to commercial activities, as well as other commuters using the route to also reach three other districts of Bong County.
