Bong District#3 petitions Atty. James Saybay

A group of citizens in Bong County Electoral District #3 has petitioned Attorney James KarpySaybay to contest for the district’s seat in the impending October elections.

Reading the petition on behalf of the group recently, Mr. MagattfredTehmeh said Atty. Saybay has over the years provided legal aids to citizens and impacted their lives in various ways.

He said Mr. Saybay has demonstrated good leadership style over the years based on his critical stance on issues in Bong. Receiving the petition, the honoree thanked the citizens for preferring him for the legislative seat in the district.

He urged them to work beyond the petition with renewed commitment to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Attorney Saybay was defeated in the 2011 elections by the current chair on Ways, Means and Finance in the Lower House, Representative Prince KeamueMoye.

He participated in 2014 special senatorial election in Bong County, but lost to incumbent Senator Jewel Howard Taylor. Senator Taylor is current running mate of presidential hopeful Senator George Weah of the Coalition for Democratic Change or CDC.

Attorney Saybay has gained the admiration of many citizens of Bong based on his political deportment and maturity. He has now joined the long list of names aspiring to replace incumbent Representative George Sylvester Mulbah.
