Bong Education Officer suspended

Bong County Education Officer Mr. Edward Kpulun has been suspended for one month, after the Ministry of Education or MOE determined that he allegedly took the Ministry’s vehicle accross the border to neighboring Sierra Leone without being permitted by MOE’s Central Office.

The MOE says the County Education Officer or CEO Mr. Kpulun took the vehicle to Sierra Leone last year; adding that he also left the country recently without informing his bosses at the Ministry.

A letter from the MOE under the signature of Deputy Education Minister for Instruction Dr. Romell Horton says Mr. Kpulun’s reinstatement is highly dependent on the submission of a comprehensive financial report on the collection of 15 percent fees collected from schools in the county covering the period he took over the post.
