Over ten smallholder Agriculture Organizations have benefitted farming implements across Bong County.
The gesture was initiated by “Agriculture and You” an organization that seeks to promote and empower farming groups across Liberia.
Materials donated to various groups include dozens of shovels, cutlasses, hoes, spraying and watering cams, wheelbarrows and rain booths among others.
Making the presentations recently, the executive director of the Organization Sylvester Kparr explained that the exercise is part of efforts to enhance the activities of those institutions in order to maximize their productivity.
He noted that if Liberia must begin feeding herself, it is important to supply tools to farmers across the Country.
The chief Executive director asserted that his institution would continue to get engaged with farmers until the Country begins to feed itself.
“We know how important farming is to us so we will continue to support local Farmers as they strive to contribute to our National economy” Kparr added.

For his part, Bong County Agriculture Coordinator Kollie Nahn extended commendations to the institution for identifying with farmers in the County, thus explaining that the initiative will help ease some of the constraints faced by farmers in the County.
He encouraged farmers to use the materials for the intended purpose, with a commitment to attracting more partners from the Agriculture industry to aid farmers in Bong.
