Bong police benefits training from Ghana

The head of the Crime Services Division of the Bong County Police Detachment John Kellenso Flomo, has returned home after participating in a week-long refresher training in Ghana.


Briefing reporters upon his return recently, Inspector Flomo expressed delight over his trip, which he termed as a boost to the LNP Bong Detachment. He said the training focused on five basic law enforcement courses, including crime scene management, witness interview, victim interview, suspect interview and neighborhood interview, amongst others.

He said skills acquired will enhance the operations of the Crime Services Division of the LNP in the county. Inspector Flomo stressed the need for training of such to be conducted on a regular basis for members of the CSD and the Liberia National Police as a whole.

He emphasized that such trainings are germane for the security sector, especially at the time the country approaches a transitional period. Inspector Flomo added that lessons acquired from the training will seriously improve execution of duties in the CSD.

In a related development, Bong County Chief of Traffic Augustine Kanneh has attributed the wave of increase accidents along the Monrovia-Gbarnga highway to excessive speed by drivers.He advised drivers plying the route to observe speed limits for the safety of passengers, pedestrians and themselves.
