Bong Rep Dedicates 29.3km Road

Bong County Electoral District #1 Representative Tokpah John Mulbah has completed and turned over the Palala – Zoweinta Road in Kpaai District. The road is a phase of the Palala – Rock Crusher Road Rehabilitation Project.

Officially dedicating the road last Friday in Zebay, Representative Mulbah reassured his people of his unending quest for development in the district. Representative Mulbah noted that he felt a sign of relief following the completion of the road rehabilitation project – one of the major roads in the district used for commerce and trade.

He said with the completion of the road, the economy of the district would flourish, admonishing the people of the district to take the road as theirs and avoid misusing same. He hailed the Atlantic Resources Company for making available earth-moving equipment for the road rehabilitation.

Providing details of the project earlier, its Chairman Joseph S. Boolue described the Palala – Zoweinta Road as a serious challenge to residents of the area and its environs. He said the 29.3 Kilometer Palala – Zoweinta Road rehabilitation is valued at a little over US$33, 000.00.

The road has been an issue of concern as citizens had always stressed the need for its rehabilitation, owing to its deplorable and impassable conditions. The road connects four other districts.
