President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has dedicated a state-of-the-art Boulevard Palace Hotel; a multi-million dollars investment in Liberia. Boulevard Palace Hotel is located between 12th and 13th Streets on Tubman Boulevard and has 105 rooms and suites, evenly located on the 4th floors with features upscale textures with made furnishings.
According to an Executive Mansion release, the 105-bedroom hotel is a high class and custom-made furnishing, that offers a wide-range of the City Monrovia from its exceptional vantag point. The rooms are accessed by key-card and with an electronic safe for each room; CCTV surveillance for public areas, and what it calls “latest security and fire protection systems.”
President Sirleaf performed the dedicatory ceremony and carried out the official ribbon-cutting, toured the facilities on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at a colorful ceremony of the Boulevard Palace Hotel located between the 12th and 13th Streets and Tubman Boulevard in Monrovia. Vice President Joseph N. Boakai graced the occasion.
In his remarks, Mr. Boakai commended the United Methodist Church “for being so gracious to give this property to erect this facility,” and commended Mr. Halabi and team for their confidence to undertake such an investment.
Following the dedicatory ceremony, she led an array of senior government officials, including the diplomatic corps, business tycoons, ordinary citizens on a guided tour of the facilities to have a fair appreciation of the facility and as well encouraged workers most of whom are Liberians to serve well with commitment.
President Sirleaf was taken on the guided tour by Mr. SalimHalabi, CEO of Boulevard Palace Hotel. Concluding the tour of the facilities, President Sirleaf unveiled a plaque with the inscription: “Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf President of the Republic of Liberia”.
