Barely days following the official start of campaign here for the special senatorial election, the Mayor of Brewerville City, Montserrado County, George V. Curtis, has publicly declared support for Congress for Democratic Change senatorial candidate, George Weah.
Speaking Sunday, 23 November during a gathering of CDCians in District # 17 at VOA Junction in Brewerville City, Mayor Curtis vowed to do all he can to support Amb. Weah in the upcoming election to enable him win the senatorial poll.
During the rally, Mayor Curtis presented $300.00 to the district and a generator to help run the campaign for Amb. Weah. In response, the CDC partisans thanked the mayor for his contribution toward Amb. Weah’s campaign and said with the help of others, Weah will come out with flying colors.
The mayor’s public declaration for Weah, an opposition candidate against Mr. Robert Sirleaf, son of the President, has sparked here with some expressing fear for his job, especially having been reportedly asked by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to come home to serve in her administration.
