Brumskine promises free education

Liberty Party leader Cllr Charles W. Brumskine has vowed that a Liberty Party-led government will provide free education for all Liberian youth.

Cllr. Brumskine said if elected President next year, he would ensure that investors in the country provide vacation jobs for students besides employment opportunities from government.
“…It would be good for you members of Brumskine Youth Movement to watch your organization in 2018 transition into the students’ service corps where under a Liberty Party Government, all our students will be given an opportunity to go to school free of charge; I mean free, absolutely free”, the LP leader told hundreds of youth in Kakata, Margibi County over the weekend.

He said Liberty Party believes education for young people is not a privilege, but a human right. According to him, any government that cannot educate its young people, should be charged with abuse of human right.

He said under a Brumskine Presidency, students with ‘B’ averages will be given scholarships to attend university, adding “During your vacation, your government will employ you. It will become a must; every investor in this country will be required to employ students during their vacation time.”

Cllr. Brumskine added that students will work with the government, while others will work with the private sector, saying students will be sent around the country for vacation jobs.
