Burglary at Ebola Treatment Center storeroom

A report from Nimba says unknown men have burglarized a storeroom of the Ganta Ebola Treatment Center and made away with several items. The robbers allegedly used knives and other weapons and broke into the storeroom.

An officer of the Ganta Ebola Treatment Center, Rennia Gbatu, said the unidentified men locked up almost all items being used to prepare meals for orphans at the center. Mr. Gbatu said nine orphans are being treated at the Ebola center, which recently discharged six survivors

The NewDawn correspondent said the incident is the first since the Ebola Treatment Center was turned over to the county Ebola Task Force by ArcelorMittal in September. Police in Ganta have made no arrest in collection with the burglary. Recently, a sub-office of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning in Ganta was burglarized by thieves and there has been no arrest by the police.
