BWI enrolls 13,000 students

The Booker Washington Institute or BWI in Kakata, Margibi County is anticipating an enrollment of 13-thousabd students this academic year.

The BWI is one of the very few vocational and technical schools in the country.

According to the administration of the school, only 40 students will be allowed in a class, while 4 students will be permitted to a desk.

The decisions are in consonance with the preventive measures prescribed by the Ministries of Health and Education against the spread of the deadly Ebola virus disease among students.

The Booker Washington Institute immediately needs US$1.8m to currently operate, while a total of US$3m is required annually  to run the school at full capacity.
